4Runnin Tahoe's Build Thread

Did some black friday weekend shopping:
- Toytec Panhard bar drop.
- Kenwood KDC-255U head unit.
- BAMF rock sliders.

Got the Panhard bar drop today, head unit should be here on Thursday and I don't know when the sliders are going to be ready. Needless to say, I'm excited about all three.
 
hey man, pretty new to the forum as I just got my 01 SR5 4Runner earlier this month but happen to come across your build log and really like some of the things you have done. a grill mod is one of the first things i want to do and really like the way yours came out, would you mind giving a little more detail on how you did it? by looking at your pictures it looks pretty easy but just wanted to make sure before i take on this project. thanks man!

Next Level Motoring, I wouldn't suggest buying them though. Nothing wrong with Next Level Motoring, they were fine, it was the bulbs. Look at what happened to them after exactly one month of use.



They were great when they were brand new though
 
i have said it before, and ill say it again... use some PIAA or IPF bulbs... by far the best on the market, im partial to PIAA, been using them longer, and they have great customer service, but IPF makes good stuff too.

Btw, that was a great Niners game last night! What a way to end the last game at the stick.
 
Had enough sunlight to snap only one pic

I also will take more pics when I paint the rear rusty center and the faded/rusty drum brakes.

Here's some pics of the de-chromified satoshi grille and the lower license plate area.
The lower license plate area was more of a medium gray than black. So I color matched it with the grille. I should have done a before pic but its a huge difference. I also plastidipped the lower horizontal piece.
