There's a group buy setting up for Weathertech mats, but not sure if it'll help you since you're up in Canada. Google WEATHER TECH GROUP BUY 3.0. It's on the Tacoma Forum and the other 4Runner forum, but says applicable to any vehicle's mats.

Thanks for this...not sure if I got in timely, though.

It just went up. The purchasing occurs 11/14 so you still have time to go sign up. Somebody usually posts the store's purchasing discount code too so worth keeping an eye on the thread.

Sub'd for more tips and tricks.

Also, thanks for the group buy tip on the weathertech mats. Been looking to get some and that's a good deal.

This is a well known secret. I just want to put it out there for new members.
- 10 years, 140K miles. You only need to replace brake pads, oil changes, tires, and a new battery.
- $0 on non-maintenance items.

My big issue with weather tech was thry don't stay in place. Especially the passenger side that's doesn't come with hooks. After contacting support they denied my request after the passenger side mat was bent from only from occasional use.

Love my Husky Liners

might want to take that denial to social media. i'm sure they love that.
dont let them screw you in private. btw where did you buy your weather techs from? they have the ability to send you a replacement when you go thru the right channels. i just went thru this monday for a client with a set of mats for his ford fusion. they drop shipping him a new one.

My husky Liners won't stay in place for nothing! Maybe because they are worn out, they were in the truck when I bought it, but I've never been fond of them.

Sent from the drivers seat of my 05 4runner.

do not let them deny you.

there is a warranty.

I'm going to try them and see what happens. My passenger side WT mat doesn't fit properly - there's a big gap either where it meets the seat mount covers or the right side kick panel trim. I took it out once and flattened it a bit with a heavy box and then it fit perfectly, but within a day or two it took its former shape and the gap was back. Very annoying.

Id rather not sign up for a forum im not going to visit. Can I still get in on the group buy? How are they collecting the money and sending out invoices? Who is the seller? Can I not contact them through their store and just say im from the group buy?

Keep an eye on the thread. Every group buy functions differently. Someone eventually posted the discount code to the store in the group buy where I got my mats from.

I took advantage of this, got a front set and a cargo liner. I've already returned the cargo liner because I didn't like how it looked and am picking up an OEM Extreme cargo liner at the dealership tomorrow.

As far as fit, the front mats fit great. But, will say the passenger side will not be getting much use. Over time we'll see if that changes at all.

8. To turn off your seat belt chime in a MY2008 do the following:

1) make sure the trip meter is in ODO mode.

2) turn the key to the ON position (dont start)

3) within a few seconds of turning it to ON, press and hold the trip reset for 15 seconds

4) while holding the trip reset, buckle drivers seat belt

5) odo reading will change to "B-on"

6) press trip reset once to change to " B-off”

I've had this truck 8 years and I have hated that damn ding. THANK YOU!! I wear my seatbelt, but there are times when you're in and out a lot that it will drive you crazy. Now to continue reading to figure out how to turn the damn key reminder off...

New to forum, so I apologize if this was already asked but... I replaced my battery (08 Sport, V8)yesterday and now my driver's side seat heater will not work. Strange that passenger side does work. The leather seats were dealer installed before I bought car.

I didn't know this, thanks. I was curious why the map lights didn't come on when the doors open. I find that the dome light is just not enough light. (08 4R Sport). Anybody know how to get the map lights to come on when door opens, other than leaving them on when you leave the truck like you posted?
