Yeah, i tryed to load the manuals but i just get white screen. Would love to be able to get the online manual.

How to program the door lock is in the "Owner's Manual".

Found this in the FSM; posting for awareness since a search revealed only one reference in a 2009 thread. There are holes in the 4th Gen V6 serpentine belt tensioner that align when you rotate it to loosen tension on the belt. Put an allen wrench (6mm) or something similar in there and it will hold the tensioner in the rotated position while you replace the belt. Appears not to be the case on the V8 b/c the belt installation is such that it's not needed.

Edit: I just did my serpentine belt and pulleys, and I did not see a way to rotate the tensioner far enough to get the holes lined up. If you want to try, my suggestion would be to remove your front skid plate, get a long breaker bar on the tensioner, and try it that way.

Something I learned while shopping for a 4th Gen is that a “B” as the fourth character in the VIN means it’s a 4WD.

It has a window icon on it. From top to bottom (IIRC), it's lock, unlock, and rear window rolldown. On a related note, you can use the key in the tailgate to roll up the rear window and lock the doors.

Not necessarily a secret but something of which many 4th Gen owners seem to be unaware: the V6 is not designed for iridium spark plugs. Don’t know if they do any harm but they specify non-iridium for the 1GR-FE engine. This part of a Car Care Nut video reminded me of this.

LOL on the immodium...by "these plugs" do you mean iridium or the regular 30,000 mile interval type?

More of a quirk than a secret, but on any car I've ever had before my 4R, you could go right from headlights to parking lights, turn off the engine, and the parking lights would stay on. Doing that on the 4R results in the parking lights turning off a short time later. If you want the parking lights to stay on while you're sitting somewhere with the engine off, you have to turn the headlight switch all the way off then back to the parking lights setting.

Most quart oil bottles thread into the oil filler, so dump one in and cut the bottom off for a threaded funnel

The driver's and passenger seats can lay (almost) flat if the rear seats are in their regular position.
Makes for decent sleeping. Especially the cloth ones.
