4th Gen aftermarket bumper working with Shrockworks

I have to wait until I can afford it ... which looks to be at least a number of months.

But I talked to Jim and told him if there was any way that I could help to let me know ... I am definitely hoping to one day get ahold of one of the bumpers when I can. Until then, I can't wait to see them on your trucks!!

Just to update this thread...things are going ahead. The design elements are being worked on and all the details can be found in the links above.

Has anyone confirmed if the Austrialian OEM bull bar for the Prado 120 has the same frame mount points as the NA 4runner? I realize the bodies are different, but what about the actual frame mounts?

I'd better get "up to speed" on this shrockworks BB; looks very good, and appears "deer proof".

I'm not an expert but the short answer is yes, the Prado 120 will fit with some minor mods. There is a thread in the 120Forum from someone at a dealer who is going to post pix of fitting the Prado 120 bar. They had to cut the wings back a bit to make the fender lines line-up I believe. I'm not sure of the mounting tho.

This is a real issue when it comes to mounting a winch.

The Shrockworks bar takes this into consideration.

As an aside, in Death Valley this weekend just past we came across several XTerra's with the Shrockworks bar. The guys were singing the praises.

Just wish we had time to talk more. We crossed paths twice with those guys. Once, they were leaving the gas station as we arrived. Second time we came across them on the trail going in the opposite direction. This is when we had a quick chat and looky loo. Funny...they were being trail led by a 4Runner!

I will keep an eye on this and maybe get some friends down under who love the off-road to try and check into it. The winch mounting is a concern, as well as shipping costs.

I wonder who made the Toy OEM BB? I would think that they would be closest to production for a NA market.

However, the shrockworks looks great, and I am uber-impressed that they "stepped up" so to speak.

Talk about accessory wierdness: I can't get the Valor exhaust tip thru a Canadian dealer. I guess it is because we'd try to call it "Valour". (I know not very funny) Oh well, a friend is visiting in May, perhaps she can tote one along for me. Also, no TRD engine air filter! Sorry for getting OT.

Yup. When we came across them on the trail there was a black 4Runner (2nd/3rd Gen?) leading them. It was also at the Ballarat stop we made. As I arrived, the black runner was leading them out. Looks like the same one in one of the pictures in the link.

I'm assuming the holes on the sides are to accomodate a fog light system? Or maybe for the turn signal/drl? I also see two holes on top of the bumper near the center, is that for aux lights?

I don't offroad my truck nearly enough to justify purchasing one, but it looks pretty damn kewl. I'm sure you'll find a huge market for it too.
