4Th Gen Chat Thread

can somebody, anybody point me in the direction of any post/s that shows how to splice the headlight wires so I can change from 2005 to 2006?

so my 4Runner is now leaning to the passenger side from the rear. Im guessing its because i put a daystar in the driver side to counter drivers lean although now it sure seems like the superflex springs are super saggy. Anyone else have this happen? Ill probably just pull the daystar spacer and see if it evens out.

anyone else have the annoying creaking from the rear? I think its my window creaking/rattling. Drives me insane.

Yep, cant seem to figure out what it is. My dad had the same noise and it turned out to be his spare rubbing against the bottom of the floor. That cant be my issue though, since I have no spare underneath. It could be the window, never thought of that

yeah my spare is tight as all hell.

Only thing i can think of is the window, i roll it down and it goes away. I dont even know how to go about fixing it.

My superflexes aren't saggy at all! I got more lift than 2" out of them. I did put the spacer on the driver's side, and I know that added some lift, but if I did my measurements right, I got right at 3" lift with mine.

I've got the same issue. Thought it was my trailer hitch for a while but there's no way. Think it's possible that my rear Daystar spacers are sliding side to side a little at the top?

when did you install them? Mine sagged around 1500miles after

I bought them used from a guy that said they had about 1000 miles on them and I've had them on since the middle of November. I've put about 2000 miles on them since then.

Me too (the squeak). I'll have to try rolling down the rear window and see if that makes the noise go away.

Are you guys referring to 1) the rear window? or 2) the window in the rear passenger side door?

My squeak seems to be coming from the "C" pillar. I was assuming the door was rubbing when the truck flexed.

im referring to the big back window. Ive removed my tray, removed side panels and it still does it.

I've got the same noise. check your bottle jack, mine loosens up and moves around every now and then, i also had a similar noise coming from the passenger side compartment where your sub and amp would be if you had jbl, the plastic insert isn't very solidly secure

Squeak from front driver suspension

well I got my first squeak on my rig. I am wondering if anyone can tell me what It might be. I am possibly thinking cv related since im running my bilsteins at the highest setting. It only makes the sound when I hit a speed bump or im offroading and the suspension is doing its thing.

check your LCA where the strut bolts to LCA. Might have easily overtorqued there and is causing a squeak upon bumps. Been there.

Quit whining like a bi%#$

If you are going to come on here and whine about something and NOT take the advice everyone is trying to give you then MOVE ON! I'm getting real sick of several people, mostly new, that are whining about this and that but won't check what we are telling them to check so we can diagnose the issue! This shit is child's play most of the time and easy to work on. If you can't work on it then you shouldn't be modding it unless you have one helluva fat bankroll to pay someone to do your bidding.
Read the sticky's peoples! Almost anything you are going to ask has been answered at least 50 times already! Use the search function, ask here in general chat, don't make a new thread moaning about how your truck is screwed up and you won't even go check a code or show us pics of whats going on or fully answer a question or two!
Ok, end rant. Put your man pants back on, or women's if you prefer, and let's have some fun! :frisky: :lookout: :offtopic: :satan:
