Sounds like the bushings. My uca bushings are fried and make that noise. Check uca and lca bushings, wear and torque.Time to play "Name that noise"
Just installed OME front/rear shocks springs + uniball control arms. Checked torque, swaybar not installed. Video is of the front end going over a bump and reversing back over it.

Anyone know where to find a PS pump replacement write up?

Sent from the drivers seat of my 05 4runner.
Grease until it starts to come out! Lol. Depends on situation really. If they are that new I would give them some grease, check torque, then check for squeak again.Thanks. I'll recheck the torque. How much greese should be pumped in the zerk fittings?
LCAs have 5k on them, UCAs have 30 miles on them. Seriously doubt wear is an issue, but I'll check that too
Anybody have an extra cap for their stock roof rack laying around? Cracked my rear driver cap
Its either the cap or jump on the Prinsu group buy :biggrin2:
Also, still need to find a Lexus to compare their wiper stalk for the mist function.
Can't help you with the second two, but the maintenance light comes on every 5000 miles as an oil change reminder.New member, first post.
Been a Jeep Grand Cherokee guy since 2002. Recently drove my girlfriends 4Runner and fell in love. Ended up buying a 2008 Sports Edition 4Runner with the 4.7 with 108k miles.
Just a few questions:
-- The "Maintenance" light comes on. Is this an indication that maintenance needs to be performed, or is this a maintenance reminder light that you can set based on milage or turn off altogether. Grand Cherokees had one you could set it to remind you to service your vehicle after xxxxxx number miles.
-- Small thing, but the cup holder divider in the center console was missing. Anyone have an idea where to buy a new one?
-- I've put about 3k miles on it since buying it and I've noticed on random occasions, only when starting, the Power Steering acts up. Basically acts like there isn't power steering - like the fluid is low or the pump is dead. But after a minute or two it acts normal. Has anyone had similar issues and if so, what was your cure?
I love this truck. The 4.7 glides and has deceiving power. My last GC had the 5.7 Hemi and I thought I'd miss that but this Toyota has a lot of power. Looking forward to being involved in this community as I spend more time with my truck.

Interesting. Mine must not be OEM. Doesn't have the little arrows on it that I'm seeing in pictures of OEM onesThe part no. for the cup holder thingy is 55604-35050. You should be able to get it from any dealer.

Yeah, mine is as well. It's probably been replaced is what I'm saying (not that it actually matters to anyone lol). Maybe an arm broke or something on the original one.Strange. Mine is like a center divider with two arms you can adjust for various sized cups/cans.
Check out this awesome invention @TiN has made....that cup holder, if that's what you want to call it is going to drive you mental...
I am eagerly waiting his final product.

Exactly!I've never understood all the hatred for the cup holders. I love them. They perfectly fit my Nalgene bottles and at the first detent hold my coffee mug. Zero issues holding Red Bull cans either.
