**4th gen cracked dash warranty replacement

Mine went out two summers ago and i decided to go ahead and replace the dash while they had it all out. I sent Toyota all the documentation amd pics of the cracked dash. Now just waiting on my check

Still waiting for the 2nd letter too. I was at the dealership this week to have my dash inspected to make sure it qualifies (it does!) and they said they're still waiting for the parts from Toyota and we will receive the second letter once they're in.

Took my 2003 T4Runner in last Thursday, for other items and asked about the campaign and the Koons Toyota in Tyson's Corner, VA knew about as much as I did about the dashboard campaign. They noted the crack and stated I would be contacted when the time comes. Stated nothing about receiving a 2nd letter, only contact when ready to replace.

4Runner Dash repair

I am wondering if anyone has an update on the Toyota offer to repair cracked dashes? I received a letter in January saying I would be notified in May regarding an appointment at my local dealer to have the dash replaced. I never received anything in May. I called Toyota HQ. The customer service agent did not have any information other than guessing the repairs have been delayed.

Nope, no Second Phase has been released yet. We've been talking about it in the Sticky at the top of the 4th Gen section. Trust me, I am watching TIS like a hawk so I know what needs to be done for my dash to get replaced for its small crack.

i saw on a different forum ppl are now going in for inspection so i called the dealer and they asked to bring it in for inspection to order parts. anyone gone in yet, find out the wait time to receive parts?

Already ahead of you guys, thread was made earlier last week regarding the updated ZE6 Letter and accompanying TSB. Currently working on getting my dashboard replaced.

Sounds like you need to find a new dealer. Or print out the dealer letter I provided in the information thread I linked earlier?

I called Smithtown Toyota yesterday and they said to wait until I receive the second letter.

Goto sunrise Toyota in Islip had mine done early June without ever getting a first or second letter...

Stopped by the dealership today to see if they had any info on the replacement program. Lady at the service department said she didn't believe the replacements were being performed yet. She offered to run my VIN anyways, but came up with nothing except for the recalls involving the gas pedal and the Smart Stop crap.

So, still no idea on what's going on...

I was told by my local dealer that Toyota is replacing the cars dashboards first. we are last......I asked for mine to be made from Carbon Fiber. :dance:
