4th Gen DVD Head Unit Upgrade

So I have an aftermarket pioneer head unit in right now (a single din) and want to upgrade to a DVD touchscreen head unit so I can have a back up camera installed with it as well.

My Question is, if I buy a Pioneer, will it just be a simple plug and play and good to go since I already have everything wired up for the current head unit?

I'm a bit leery getting another Pioneer because of I find it hard to tune my current head unit, any suggestions on other units I should look at?

Thanks for your help!

The Pioneer AVIC-8100NEX ($1,400 SRP), AVIC-7100NEX ($1,200 SRP), AVIC-6100NEX ($900 SRP), AVIC-5100NEX ($750 SRP) and AVH-4100NEX ($700 SRP) are currently available at authorized Pioneer retailers across the U.S.

These are the new hot systems out right now because they all have the Apple AirPlay turning the stereo screen into your iPhone and all of its uses except physically texting only through voice command of Siri.

And also the first three models come with the same option for Android users and apple. The last two only Apple

Yes plug play and maybe if you ask nicely Siri will give you a reach around. :wow2:

not really plug and play, you still have to redo the new harness to the aftermarket harness. also you have to use another dash kit. u also need to run the video signal to the radio from the camera, also need to look for reverse signal or vss if doing navigation.

Yeah just like any other regular stereo upgrade, the common things. No two models are the same so common things with upgrades, not technical. Pull swap switch attach snap plug n play.
