4th gen Steering linkage jiggle on dirt roads/offroad

2005 V8 4x4 SR5 stock everytihing, 30-40k

Has anyone else experience a jiggle in their steering column when driving on dirt roads or offroad?

It feels as though there is a loose part in the linkage but my service tech says he cannot replicate the noise/feel and that all bolts/unions are to correct torque. The service manager put it off to being associated to the rack and pinion steering and that a lot of Tundra owns have come in with similar complaints. Apparently there is a lot of feedback from the wheel size on these models and it is "normal."

It drives perfectly fine on pavement and at high speeds.

Anyone have a similar experience and/or solution?

No solution but a very similar experience - right down to the year, configuration, and mileage. Like yours, it drives great on highway. As a matter of fact, I've neither nor needed an alignment and my truck gets a lot of rough use. A cursory inspection underneath has revealed nothing but I'll do a more thorough one soon when I get it up on stands for an oil and lube.
