4x4 Low

I was out pulling my trailer and needed 4wd.I put it in hi and then low .When I started to go,I was getting a constant beeping and the 4x4 light was flashing.Is this normal?

no, flashing means it is not engaged yet. beeping means you are doing something wrong.

Stop, put tranny in neutral, move selecter to 4lo, wait till the dash light stops flashing. It porbably beeped at you because you either were not in neutral, or started moving while the light was still flashing. See instructions in owners manual for more detail. If it flashes constantly for several minutes, there is a problem. It usually takes a few seconds of flashing before it engages.
 
It's normal. It's telling you that you didn't put it in 4lo properly and it was really in 4hi.



You need to place the vehicle in N then select 4lo, then put it in gear. Reverse the process to get it out.


Flashing dash lights and/or beeping indicate that the switch position doesn't match the t-cases current mode.
