Yup, I kept the rears stock, noticeably improved the ride comfort with minimal changes in the handling characteristics. Overall I am very impressed with the upgrade.

-My non scientific test involved driving slowly over a speed bump, OEM shocks would bottom out to the bump stops, 5100's hardly flinch.

I just did all four on mine and made a big improvement. I do not feel the bumps as much and there is far less noise.

Stocks springs, and I will try and get a measurement tomorrow, it honestly looks greater than .85 in person

IMO the front as its sits is already higher than the rear at .85, at least for me 1.75 without any lift in the rear could look unbalanced

I put the FJ springs on mine along with the 5100's set to .85 and love it. It leveled it out the same as yours, but with just a little bit more lift at all 4 corners I think. Looks great.

Mine were set at .85 and honestly I cannot tell any difference in height or in handling when cornering. The only difference I see is a lot smoother going over bumps and a lot less noise. I replaced all four with Bilsteins and used the stock springs.

^my thoughts exactly, but the biggest improvement you will notice during daily driving is increased stability driving on uneven pavement or bad roads.

Gatafly --- How much and where did u get the FJ Springs?

Is there any disadvantage to using the original springs when swapping the 5100's if you're not interested in lifting the truck? I'm guessing most people get the FJ coils because there is a slight lift associated with them, all I'm interested in is leveling the front and getting rid of my XREAS
