560lb over stock, and my ride is still too stiff... how much softer should I go?

I have 891s with the firm OME shocks in the rear and its ridiculously rough. I think I'll be ordering some long 5100s from wheelers soon and hopefully that'll help quite a bit.

I got 2.6" over stock lift in the rear and it doesn't sag much at all when loaded with a few hundred lbs.

Rough how? I just got my 883/891 under stock weight with the 5100's tundra front and 4r rears. Im bouncing down the road. I need to figure put a way to minimize the bouncing around. i have plans on adding armored bumpers and sliders and swingarm spare tire but thats in the future. what temporary solutions do you guys have for me ?

Well add some eight to the rear and that'll settle it down

883s are the same length as 881s, but they have a 590lb/in spring rate (instead of 500) so they are definitely on the stiffer end.

That said, indeed, more weight is about the only thing beyond swapping stuff out.

Still extremely happy with the swap. I have nothing scientific to support it, but I swear the more supple suspension has noticably improved my traction over uneven obstables by keeping the tires more evenly planted on the ground (very obvious with open diffs F/R). I have even had folks lately remark how my oddly flexy my suspension seems even over what feel like only moderate undulations.

Of course, on the flip side, between the ~1.5" lower height and softer front end, my front skid plate definitely has a few more hefty dings :heh: . Of course, nothing a hammer and ny trusty welder won't fix!
