Justin is working on a plate bumper (vs. the tube bumper pictured) for the 5th Gen. 4-Runners. As soon as he's satisfied with it I'm supposed to get one (I'm also waiting on CBI Offroad's 5th Gen. rear bumper/tire carrier). I'll post back when it's completed and installed.

For other members reading Jim's post, he is legit. Jim has been a long time customer of Rocktek and a friend of Justin. He even often gets the "first of" from Rocktek.

Justin built his first plate bumper about 6 months ago, and he has decided to start doing more plate work.

As Nathan indicated, my 4-Runner is a 2013 TE. Got it as my daily driver last April because my FJ is at Redline Land Cruisers getting a MAJOR re-do and won't really be street worthy when it's finished. Swapped all the suspension components over to the 4-Runner from the FJ (Icon coil-overs, UCA's & rear shocks, ToyTec springs, Sonoran Steel LCA's and rear Panhard bar, ARB skids). Put some American Racing Mojave Teflon wheels that I had as daily drivers for the FJ on it along with new DuraTrac 285's. I'll probably stop modifying it after the front and rear bumpers are on. I'll use it for moderate wheeling in Crested Butte and save my Moab trips for the FJ.

Are you waiting in Justin's plate bumpers, or going with something else?

I just bought an extra 5th gen last week, I'm sending it to him for a couple months to work off of. I have had his tube bumper hybrids on 6 of my Toyotas, and I am pretty excited about the possibility of a plate bumper.

Guess we wait and see.

Are you waiting on Justin's plate bumpers

I really wanted a plate bumper from Justin but the timeframe (I need it before the end of May when I head to Crested Butte for summer/fall) apparently wasn't going to work. I didn't want a tube bumper for my 4-Runner (which was available immediately from him) so I went with one from Shrockworks. If and when he does come up with a plate bumper that I like, I might unload the Shrockworks and get one of his. I'm not in a position to leave my 4-Runner with him for an extended period of time to use as a template like I did my FJ for his original tube bumper.
