That video shows you how to install running boards. Removing them is easier just unbolt.
How old are you? Anyone can do this and if you don't own tools buy some. Better than paying the dealer for something so simple.
Haha 29. I have a basic mechanic set so I'll be fine. I just live in an apartment without a garage so I don't have ton of room for much beyond that. before the 4runner I had a honda accord and never had to do anything with it. I'll admit I'm a total rookie when it comes to working on trucks so doing anything on it will be a learning experience
I'm also 29 and my last vehicle was a 91 accord haha. I was just trying to save you some money. I believe dealers have an hourly rate regardless of the task. This job is so easy why pay them 100 plus? You don't need much room get under the truck and unbolt have your friend hold one end. You can't mess this up.

You'll just need a socket wrench and 10min of time. If you don't have someone there to help, do the middle bolt last so that the board doesn't hang off sideways as you work your way down the rocker panel.my buddy was telling me i needed some kind of high pressure tools to do that. Pay for an oil change. I did at 5,000. Good to get all that break in shit out of there. Cheap piece of mind in my opinion.
