5th gen (14+) OEM JBL sub enclosure?

are you planning to add an amp? i currently have the jbl setup, i think i may just try this updated 8" woofer.

I didnt have JBL so didn’t have an amp, but replaced the OEM setup with a Pioneer 1400NEX head unit and Hertz speakers driven by a 4 channel AudioControl amp with DSP under the front seat. I’d probably get the small 1 channel AudioControl amp for the sub and install it under the front passenger seat. I’m sliding down the car audio rabbit hole.

let's see it when your done. i've been in that same hole with my other cars. for the runner, i'll probably change to the T9 and upgrade the sub woofer.

This looks like the part # for the OEM sub enclosure 86150-35080. I’m not sure if it comes with a speaker but the pics (simple line drawing) online at a few dealer part sites looks like the enclosure.

Do you know if it would fit in a 2 row model? Looks like you have 3 rows so the interior trim is different but it’s probably the same underneath the trim?

Yes, it's the same underneath the trim, the bolt holes are there for the speaker box. The issue would be modifying the trim panel since you have a different setup. Another option to look at would be this box, it's made to fit your trim

That enclosure doesn’t look bad. Might be a little easier to install than the OEM box. Thanks.

I'm about to do this same thing! Thank you for the inspiration. How is the bass? How does it feel/sound? I love the oem look by using this box and having it tucked away also, heres a pic maybe it would be a cool way to finish the sub
