It's not much good for watching 4th of July fireworks in the rain:
I parked it in my favorite spot; a saddle about three miles east of town. The fireworks display was to be at 9:45 near the rr overpass where it always is. It had been raining since about 4:00 and was now just a drizzle, just enough to keep the raindrops clustered on the windshield.
The fireworks started on time; the rain got a bit heavier but still perfect viewing. I decided to do a windshield wiper swipe - hmmm, need the ignition key in the RUN position. With that all the dash lights are on - hmm, turn the ignition OFF - now the dome light turns on. Pull out the key then wait the fifteen seconds for the dome to turn off. Finally it's nice and dark again (except for that security light that blinks - - -
The truck is warming up so decide to roll down the window - Key back in and turned to ON; all the lights are on again - Roll down the window. Key OFF; pulled out; wait for dome OFF. Cool now and watching the fireworks thru the raindrop covered windshield - OK live with it.
Now the breeze come up a bit and its raining on my arm and running down the door inside - I'M NOT GOING TO GO THRU THE KEY/LIGHTS THING AGAIN. My wife is laughing - - - -
