5th gen door card lights???

so im not sure if im not entering the wrong words to search this but im trying to see if the limited vs the sr4 has lights on all the door cards on the bottom portion. it seems as if theres a slot for ones.

i want to see if its possible to get a light installed into that slot and if there is where to buy the housing for it? directly from toyota?

SR4, ahhh you must have the S mode 5th lockout mod!

Those lights are std on the LE and part of the option package on the SR5 (premium package - leather, etc.). Highly doubt the wiring is in place as countless others have mentioned they don't waste it if it is not needed.

They are called Puddle Lamps to aid in your searching.

I believe the puddle lamps are the ones on the bottom of our mirrors. If the OP searches that, he'll get the wrong threads.

I'm actually surprised all of our trucks don't have that as a standard option.

thanks for the input, not too worried about the light wiring, shouldnt be too bad doing it. not seeing any light housings sold on ebay and what not yet. so im assuming it would have to be bought from toyota directly at an overprice.

I know the ones under the mirror are those, and assuming since it lights the same area they would be called one of the same, just additional locations. I guess the only true way to know is to pull up the parts list to see what it details them out to be.

so im pretty sure this is the one. its called a Courtesy lamp looks as if left is used for both front and back as well as the right side for front and back. correct me if im wrong. heres a link.

so if those are it i would have to buy two left front courtesy lamps and wire harness. as well as two right front courtesy lamps and wire harness... unless i do my own wiring job.
