5th Gen - KDSS Compatible Lower Control Arms!

Maybe JerseyMike can chime in with experience on his KDSS system. He originally chimed in 11/2018 :)

After 5k on them, so far so good. The alignment felt "off" initially after replacing the LCAs (and UCAs) - like there was a lot of positive camber. Now that everything has settled back in I'm super happy with the way the "rust rebuild" turned out. No complaints regardign the bushings yet. We'll see once the winter is over.

Really glad I dropped the coin and upgraded the LCAs, rather than just throwing another stock set on. Solid product.

Yes they have a KDSS version with both single and dual shock mounts. I literally just bought a set of the “old” style two weeks ago, that just arrived, still wrapped. I would have gone this route. F’n bummed, a little bent at whom I bought from made no mention of it. I’ve waited years for KDSS version and longer to buy a set.

whats the difference between the old style and this current expedition version?

Direct fit, you don’t have to cut the stop on the lower ball joint cradles and they are “stronger”

The Expedition Series is an evolution of the original Race Series which increases ground clearance and adds component strength. With strategic additions and subtle enhancements, the Expedition Series lower control arms will improve on and off road handling on a wide range of suspension configurations.

One of the main features of the Expedition Series lower arms are newly integrated steering stop tabs which retain factory turning angle with no modification necessary to the OEM ball joint cradles. Put that grinder away for this install, these are 100% bolt-on.

Only found on Expedition Series lowers, strategically placed pockets have been added at the coilover shock tabs to increase clearances allowing for a wider range of shocks to be used (up to 3.0").

Uniball cups on the Expedition Series lowers are part of a stout one-piece billet design that increases strength and provides more turning clearance. 1" 100% stainless steel uniballs are included which replace the factory ball joints.
