5th Gen vs. 4th Gen ( Full Time 4wd etc.)

The 5th gen Limited has three modes in its 4WD system: 4H center diff locked or unlocked, and 4L center diff locked.

The 4th gen (all 4WD models, regardless of trim) have 4H center locked or unlocked, 4L center diff locked or unlocked. The V8 only has the aforementioned. The V6 has the ability to be in 2WD, 2H.

Except, when one axle is stuck in mud with no traction...then you need to lock it...but by that time, it would be quite difficult to lock it....

Common sense should tell you that driving two fewer wheels equates to increased fuel economy. But since common sense doesn't apply in your world, I'll just ask you to prove your opinion. The rest of us already know that you're wrong.

I'm not arguing about the EPA. The EPA shows a difference in fuel economy. You're the one who says it is an insignificant difference. I'm the one who says it's still a difference.

To say that there is no difference is 100% incorrect. Lets stick with the facts.
