Y'all have me browsing them pretty hard now. I like the sound of progressive valving. I think I'm hesitant on the icons deep down because the 6112s are digressive, and I can feel every bump in the road. Although the harder drops feel nice when I get the chance to take it off road.
The price point looks nice on them too.
The rear 2.5 radflos put it almost at the same price point as the icon front (2.5) and rears (2.0) I was looking at, but it's nice the rear radflos would be 2.5s.
Both of you clearly like them. Is it pretty smooth on the road overall?
This is a really subjective area we're delving into here. I hesitate to say you'll love it because well you understand.
Also, I am 5 years, 4 suspension setups, (including stock) and 75,000 miles away from stock so my perspective is pretty hazy at this point. And I have not run the setups that you have.
All that being said, I am very impressed with the Radflo Eibach/Dobinson's setup that I am running. However, I arrived where I am now trying to solve some issues I had that are specific to my setup. My setup is listed below in my signature as well as all my weight influencing mods so I won't go into it.
I came from a very worn out, over weighted, probably abused Toytec Boss setup. The fronts were cranked up way to much to get the lift I needed and carry the weight. One rear strut was destroyed and I was running on a OEM replacement generic shock for about 8 months. (Long story) The coils barely kept the rear end up empty and weren't carrying the weight of being fully loaded at all.
So in adding the C4 dual swingout I had to radically change the setup front and rear. So here we are at the current setup. It's a much more smooth and controlled setup. Off road it's a dream. The Dobinson's progressive rear coils are truly amazing.
However, all that being said these are shocks/struts designed for high speed off road use. And choosing different sized coils made by a different manufacturer would change things dramatically. Let alone the specifics of rig setup.
You asked if I can feel every little bump in the road. I would answer yes and no. It's a truck with about 700# of extra weight bolted on empty. Lot's more fully loaded. I didn't really try to get it to run perfect on the pavement empty. (Much better than any Jeep I have ever been in though) That being said I think it does great. But loaded up at higher speeds than before holy s$@t is it a big difference.
So being a purpose built rig that is a daily driver as well, I think it balances those needs well. But it's no Caddy.
So I think I've done a good job at not answering your question, which was unintended. The best answer I have is this. Live anywhere near Denver? We can go for a drive
