**** GUYS PLEASE VOTE AS I WOULD LIKE TO PRESENT THIS DATA TO TOYOTA AT SOME POINT. FOR THEM TO TAKE THIS SERIOUSLY, WE WOULD NEED FEW HUNDREDS VOTE ON MANY FORUMS ****
Hi guys, let's say that hypothetically the 6th Generation 4Runner would show up with a selection of four engines. Which is the one you would choose.
3.5 litres V6 - 278 HP / 265 LBS (Tacoma)
4.0 litres V6 - 270 HP / 278 LBS (5th Gen 4Runner)
4.6 litres V8 - 386 HP / 367 LBS (Lexus LS 460 RWD)
5.7 litres V8 - 381 HP / 401 LBS (Thundra)
Please do not turn that thread in a "It is fine as it is, Toyota will never go for bigger engine or there will be no more 4Runner" ... we have other threads on the subject.
The mandate of this thread is to get the general engine related feeling of an active crowd owning 4Runner. If we have enough answers, I will post the same thread to other Toyota's forum and provide the result to Toyota.
I read too many times that people would love other engine options for that platform, and it's time we put number on this.
