8000 mile internation trip is a go!

Will be driving my family on what will probably be the longest drive of our lives. Starting in Alaska and heading down to California. And then crossing he south to Florida before back tracking to New Mexico! Trailer in tow the whole way. Will just be a small 6'x4' enclosed single axle but man I'm excited to take my 2015 Nautical Blue out and stretch her legs!

Probably 1st and 2nd week of September. Plus or minus a few days, all depends on how cooperative the kids are along the way!

Sounds like an awesome trip! Driving up the coast to Alaska is definitely on my bucket list. If you want to do a little 4wheeling or need help in western NM let me know. It'll be a busy time for me but I should be around here and there.

Be sure to post up your itinerary once you get it figured out. I'm sure you won't want to stop everywhere to meet up along the way, but I can definitely buy you a beer if you're driving through town. I'm along 101 in San Jose.

OP, I'm in Ferndale CA, which is right off the 101 about 100 miles south of the Oregon line, PM's come to my phone - hit me up if you need anything in the area.

Sounds like a great trip, did a lot of that trip in reverse last summer. If you haven't already made the trip, take the detour to Chicken, AK then over the top of the world highway to Dawson City and back to outside of Whitehorse. It adds 1 over night in Dawson but is worth every single well graded hard packed dirt mile of the top of the world highway.

Trip success!

Finished the trip and it was a blast! The kids traveled great which amounted for long days. Tried to average around 600 miles/day with a few 1K's in there. Will post more pics later.
