I have some cans that have been beaten out and repaired to be really close. Maybe try that first. Then buggy. Exo Cage for sure

So I've been thinking about it.

New direction... it's for sale!

Not really, but don't think it hasn't crossed my mind 100xs. Plan is to beat it like a red headed step child until it almost looks like a 4runner again. I have wheeling trips already planned that I'm not going to miss over some dents.

I will slowly start building the exo cage with 3 link and 38" - 40" tires in mind. So regear, upgrade front locker, start tubing it out. Thinking I'll work front to back and continue wheeling it as progress is made. Once I get to the rear, I'll just cut the bed sides out completely and go from there.

Going to be a slow and painful process on a government employee salary lol. I also don't have many resources or shop friends and I have a lot to learn.. still a little new to this...coming from the flat, muddy, East Coast.

FWIW I've purchased those little clips that hold the grill in from one of the online Yota parts suppliers for not a heck of a lot. I think the shipping cost almost as much as the clips, and it still wasn't much.

Yea, you can buy them. But they're not anywhere near as strong as the anchors/screws. Especially if you take the grill on/off frequently.

Took a break today and had some fun before tearing it apart.

This is the gatekeeper at my buddys house.. finally made it over after a few failed attempts months ago...and set a record (before sunset lol)

I don't usually go that slow on the trails, but I had all day and it's a little sketchy, videos never do justice.

Many of trucks have been winched off of this..some fatally broken ��

Spent a few hours yesterday removing the interior..

I got really lucky and realized the the door jam section where the majority of the roof damage is, could be removed to access the roof. Good because I'm trying to avoid a complete cab swap.

Got the majority of it pretty damn close..should be able to finesse it with some filler.
