87 22-RTE (turbo) best spark plugs and factory plus. Which is best?

I've heard that denso platinum is the one to use. The Toyota dealer told me iridium but I'm not sure they even existed in 87.

Also what gap should they have?

Stock plugs for the 22RE and RET motors were these according to the '88 manual:

I run Denso Iridiums in my '85 supra, which calls for the same stock plugs as the manual above. They work well with the turbo as far as I have seen, but it also worked well with the stock 5ES NGK plugs too. The Supra is at 425hp/400torque at 10psi for reference.

That HP doesnt seem stock to me haha.....

I went with denso platinum on sale/clearance?/ at autozone for 3.49 with 2.00 rebate per plug. Seem to work great so far and at 1.49 each I can't complain.

I like the denso and ngk plugs, they work well with toyotas. Bosch plugs never seemed to feel right in my truck, and champions were just crap in most of my vehicles! I save that brand for my lawn mower and chain saw!!!

And whatever do ya mean!?!?! Its a completely stock Supra!!!! :wink2:
