my 4runner is dying, well more or less the engine, when i drove it up from florida to kentucky i almost made it home when the 2 and 3 cylinders stop receiving fuel, making it impossible to drive, it wouldnt even stay running for more than a a couple of seconds, so i had to get it towed to a shop in near by bowling green ky, two weeks later, the shop gave up, i then got it towed to louisville 2 hours north and put it in a shop near my dads house, the mechanic said that the fuel injection module was not working, it wouldnt even push gas, so about two months later he gets the part in and then finds out the the head is blown as well so, finally i got it back about two days ago, its finished and seems to be running fine, so i drive to my house in town and it makes it no problem. I go to drive it back out to my dads house and its starts losing power like its not firing properly and wont go over 15 mph so i pull over, i get out and notice that its blowing fiberglass from the cat out the exhaust, so i thought that the exhaust was just clogged or somthing, so i cut the exhaust off with a hack saw about 5 inch before the cat and tie the exhaust off to the side, it still runs like hell but it was enough to get it home, and now it sounds like a turbo charged lawn mower, and has about the same power. if there is anyone that can tell me what is going on with my engine or has any ideas at all, please reply to this post, it would be greatly appreciated.
