91' sr5 w/ a 94's factory cd player....how to hook up and amp

Whats the best way to hook up and amp and keep the factory head unit? I've always used 2x RCAs from an aftermarket and a remote turn on wire. Just wanting a little 250 watt sub amp after I replace the wonderful 4" front speakers....
