ok. I just bought my 93 4runner with a 3.0L. I got a large oil leak that has filled the valley. I have done the valve covers abd cam plugs and still have no Idea whats going on. Please help

Manual or auto?
Have you checked your oil pan gasket?
Is it coming from behind the motor where the tranny bolts up to?

crazy leak
I experienced the same problem and found no one had any real answers.
pulled the engine and found that the head was leaking from an oil pressure port. Evidently when the dealer warranteed the headgaskets, they used a belt surfacer and the head was no longer truly flat. Rebuilt the heads, cut the mating surface and solved the problem. Lots of work, but thank the dealer for real quality work. You'll find that nobody seems to know about headgaskets leaking oil (under pressure), but I have certainly been there. You might consider putting in some head studs while your in there.

been there done that...also can the head gasket push oil into the valley...I maybe should not have bought this **** can
