Greetings Forum Folks from Newbie poster,
The flow of info on this site rocks. Sooo trying to keep kid's 98 T4R rolling till end of school and beyond (!?) Idle seems ok, no CEL but when accelerating it feels rough, like missing cylinder. It is engine speed related, coasting at any speed and the vibration ceases. Dove in and changed all plugs and wires, found fwd most coil pack loose, hoped it was cause but no joy. CLeaned MAF and TB. Thinking about replacing all 3 coils (Rock Auto seems lowest $, any recommendations?). Question: Will OBD store mis-fires even if no CEL thrown? Also found some aged and cracked engine ventilation hoses, searching for local substitutions.
