Thanks! I used the ol' dremel tool with a diamond cutting wheel for the valence. I measured down 2" by the wheels so it would still cover the mounting locations for the inner fender well bolts. Then I just ran a line of painters tape from that mark to a common point on the front and started cutting. Took all of 10 minutes!

I've thought about it, but I've never felt the need to change my light output. If I ever need more light I just flip on my PIAA's and it's more than enough. Does look good though...

Fair enough. A solid set of aux. lights do make a huge difference and they are definitely more economical. Maybe when you and blktpgsr (sp?) see the output in person next year on our wheeling meet, I will have you convinced!

Not many. Once the weather gets a bit better my friend and I (and I mean like 95% friend 5% me) are going to build a rear storage/sleep system. Other than that, nothing until I find an SC. :driving:

Added a few things and havent had the truck clean enough to be picture worthy as of late.... I added some Lightforce Blitz 240's that are getting converted to 50Watt HID's and 4300K bulbs. Also did some under-hood LED work lights and put on my Lotus LCAM skids. I'll get pics up later of the other stuff.

Rick, those lights are humongous!
I think they look a little too big for the front end, but I'm assuming you're going for function before form. Those ought to create a close approximation of daylight once you convert them to HID's.

They are a little big, but I think the alternative Lightforce striker 170's are too small. Not to mention I bought the lights used.... hahaha I couldnt say no and yes they are going to be bright as hell!

hey buddy, I love your build and all the retrofit work but I think those lights stand out a bit too much on your truck.
is it possible to somehow fit them into the bumper valance?

They are WAY too big to fit into the valence. I honestly like the look a lot and it grows on me everytime I look at it. I could have got them mounted flush with the front of the bumper but then I would have had to cut the bottom support on the grille and I then would not be able to use it for the Satoshi mod that I have planned. Besides, they will look way better on my new bumper that I'll be getting in the spring/summer!
Yah, same ones Vic runs. You can turn rotate them like you can turn the end of a MagLite flashlight to focus or spread the beam. Also, you can get TONS of different filters for them for each type of weather you may encounter: Yellow - fog, Blue - snow, orange - dust, green - infrared, dispersion, combo, distance.... crazy options! Like I mentioned earlier, I added some LED pods like I have on my rear hatch onto the underside of my hood. I wish I did it sooner, just going to make things sooo much nicer at night when you need to be under the hood for whatever reason!

Love the runner so far! But just out of curiosity, how exactly did you change the key ring light from green to LED red? I'd love to convert it to LED on mine, so any help would be appreciated!

I had a feeling that would be your response. I saw Brian's post and went back up and looked at the picture again. I noticed how you cut the grille and thought to myself, "He could still do a Satoshi mod w/those cuts, it's not fubared or anything" .... then.... "I remember him saying he's going to get a front bumper sooner or later, he could put the lights on the bumper and satoshi the grille... viola!"
Those LED's under the hood are sweet! Do you have them on a pin switch so they come on automatically when you open the hood?
