This is the company I bought it from. I really like being able to switch spot and flood on/off independently. I'm not entirely happy with it though, I am getting some moisture behind the lense. I need to try to re-seal it with some silicone or something. I think there are probably better options as far as light bars go, this one was just right in front of me and seamed to be a good deal.

Had a little fun experimenting with a friends wheels and tires. He has a tacoma on 33s, and we both wanted to see our rigs with different tires.

They fit just fine in the back, but I would need to do some trimming in the front. It rubbed when I turned the wheels on flat ground. Haha. I think some of it had to do with the backspacing on his rims.

More wheeling last weekend. Had a good time with some buddies and finally got my friends tacoma out on the trail! Had some carnage halfway through though. I went down a rutted trail that turned out to be a dead end with no way to turn around. As I was backing out I heard some popping and noticed the rear part of my skid plate twisted up laying on the ground in front of me... Ooops! Also had a sketchy time with a mud puddle that was a little deeper than I thought, I had water up to mid door and coming halfway up the hood! No pictures of that, and I sure as hell wasn't going for a second round to get them!
Of course, I forgot to bring my camera, so I had to use my Ipod.

I still have a lot of fun. Rocks can be challenging. I just have to bump it over big rocks instead of being able to crawl over them. It just takes a little more work.

Met up with MCObray (Mason) today. It was cool to finally meet up with someone from the forum and he's a cool guy.

A few updates from a few weeks ago:
Finally, after much searching, I found a suitable skid plate at Home - A&G Auto Recycling, Inc. This place is awesome! Unfortunately they pick all the parts for you so I couldn't actually go out in the yard and gawk at all the toyota's.

I made some low profile mounts for the roof rack out of some L brackets. They actually came from a bed frame, haha, but they work awesome!

I also FINALLY got a key fob! It was super easy to program, and was by far the best $20 mod! All my friends flip out when I roll down the back window with the key. Haha.

Had a little fun over spring break. Went to a friends cabin and spent the whole day wheeling. About half snow and half muddy creek bed. We all had a great time and only got stuck a couple times and got a couple new dents in the gas tank skid.

Also got to play the hero several times in the snow. There was a jeep that followed us because "The 4runner was going, so I should have no problem" He got stuck probably 200ft up the trail and we had to pull him out like 5 times just to get him off the trail! The snow had a thin layer of ice on top, but one you broke through it was like 4 ft deep.

I made a video with all of our footage of the trip. Its kinda long, but pretty cool.

Got a few projects done in the past several weeks. The first was replacing my mysteriously malfunctioning odometer with another gauge cluster with similar miles.

Next came the overdue Tacoma whip antenna to replace the broken factory one.

And finally I finished my new aluminum fairing for my roof rack. I wanted something different since my old one was rattling on the freeway, so I made a paper template and cut it out of aluminum. I decided to use rivets to hold it onto the rack.

Now I need some opinions, I'm torn on whether I should paint the rivets black for a more stealth look, or leave them silver. I also designed a decal that I want to use on the fairing

I personally like the the rivets as they are, silver/stainless, but black would go too. You already have that theme of black going on with your 4Runner, but a little silver/stainless never hurt no body. Lookin' good man!

Got a transmission cooler and my decal for the rack ordered! I went with the bigger one 70264 for better cooling. I measured and it will just barely fit behind my light bar on the drivers side.

Got another update with some awesome progress. I must say, graduation is awesome! Grandma got me a full set of black Weathertech mats! I absolutely love them, and the black looks awesome.

When they first came out I fell in love with the look. I really like how it plays off of the grill shape in the openings. I special ordered mine without the holes in the top plates for a little cleaner look.

Added another 3rd gen to the family! It's a 97 limited 2wd that my dad will use for running around town. Got it for VERY cheap and will be refreshing it over the next month. We ordered 1.25" top plate spacers for the front and 1.5" for the back to clear the 265 75s that are on it. (They rub pretty bad on sagged 2wd suspension!) A separate build thread will be made for this one, with the emphasis on "bang for the buck"
