A couple of weeks ago I also got a good deal on a volant intake. I don't have any pictures yet, really not much to see. Hey op, on your sotoshi mod, how did you get the sides so smooth? Did you cut out the center section yourself? It looks really clean. You did an awesome job

Hey, thanks, I did all the work myself. I work in a body shop so I have a good amount of experience with bondo and making stuff smooth. I haven't worked with fiberglass though. Instead I used a small piece of metal JB welded and taped with metal tape to the backside of the grill to act as a backing. Then I put bondo over the top.

I did the tundra brake swap today. Like most I was sick of having rotors warping constantly.
I used the larger 231mm tundra brakes from an 05. Much thanks to BigFishAllDay for his very extensive write up, it was easy and quick, especially considering this was my first brake job.

Got my 906 coils and bilstien shocks installed. hub to fender measurements are 21.5" in the front and 22" in the rear.

Did some wheeling today with a heep. I was amazed by what I could do with just street slicks. Added a little extra adventure though.
Hopefully the video works, it's a little weird.

Got a couple additions in the last few weeks.
I went to the SEMA show and at the end of the week many exhibitors sell the items in their booth for a discount, so they don't have to ship it back home. I took advantage of this and picked up a 20" light bar with a spot/flood combo that can be operated individually. Its not as bright as some, but when its on you can hardly tell the headlights are on. Ill try to get some night pictures.

Also finally got some new tires! They had a sale at Americas Tire so I jumped on it. They are 265 75 duratracs.

RonMAIDEN I wasn't sure if the weights would clear on my brakes, since my wheels are so close to begin with. I painted the weights to match, so it looks a little better, I'd love to get some of the new SCS bead lock style wheels, but those aren't really in the budget, haha.

Great build so far! We have practically the same truck (new intake, lift, year, color, etc) except you have done that little extra that I have been dying to do but do not have the space or money for (rack, painted wheels, satoshi, and LED bar). I'll be sure to keep following you build, it lets me know what my truck will look like! haha
