A 5th Gen Christmas

Well, it's that time of year again! Time to slow down a bit, take that unused vacation that won't roll over and spend time with family and friends.
It's been an exciting time here at T4R.org in the sub forum 5th gen T4Rs lol.
With the mid cycle refresh of the 2014 model it's cool to see all the enthusiasm new owners have for their vehicles. Of course Antman is still modding his 4Runner. I think this is the 7th way he has re configured his cargo area but that's OK as each way is better than the last! eddiebx and Canazes9 are keeping the peace and making sure boots don't rub respectively. harper7 checks in now and again and countless others such as phillyd2, philsey and Stifler keep the members from getting too serious. I can't leave out Jesse1983 for keeping the stickies to a minimum and of course remembering SeattleMike who was a great guy. RIP Mike.

I know I forgotten to mention several of you who have tolerated my rants throughout 2013 and I apologize in advance for 2014 lol. As several guys who have traded in their 4Runners and moved into Tundras or Land Cruisers will attest this is one of the best forums on the internet and I wholeheartedly agree.

So use this thread for the next week and a half to post your 2013 funny stories and reasons to be thankful as we head into 2014. Keep driving your 5th Gen 4Runners and I will keep on enjoying mine.
Merry Christmas Everyone!

Tks for the mention Greg. I'm going to pile on and thank Intruder and J-BlickPhoto for taking us along on their enviable adventures. As always, we miss acknowledging some guys when we do this ....

I'm thankful that after I moved to AZ Ducmonsta moved to the west coast. That way all of my buddies in the DC area couldn't have him anymore either. Because I'm jealous like that.

Amen to that

Just kidding. I'm actually sad that I missed the T4R secret Santa and thought that a 5th gen specific one might be a good one. Oh well, maybe next year.

I am disappointed that there was no fantasy football this year Reata :vader:
I'm not technologically advanced enough to start one.

Biggest thing I'm sad about is missing most of my family and friends back home for the holidays. My folks are visiting us which is great! And having you guys entertain me through the internets regardless of where I live is priceless.

I hope everyone stays safe and happy through this holiday season.
MERRY CHRISTMAS! My 5th Gen Bretheren!

Thanks Phil. I can't remember people's names much less their screen names! I do love to look at Intruder pictures because they sort of go beyond 4 wheeling. They show beautiful landscapes as well. J-BlickPhoto pics remind me that there are still true artists out there taking pictures.

I’m always a bit nervous while wondering what I did now when I get the mention notification but this was a nice surprise. Thanks Greg – you remain one of my favorites here. The kid and I will be spending Christmas and New Years in Cancun, as is our tradition but I hope nobody will be too offended if I wish everybody the Merriest of Merry Christmas and an even better New Years.

As said, this place is a nice outpost on the internet because of the great guys here.

Posts like this reveal the true caliber of the 4R community, which really is unlike any other. Thanks for an entertaining, and enlightening, year.

Thanks to all of you for helping me spend gobs of cash to get my 5th gen more up to speed with you all so I can enjoy the trails even more. Great ideas, great help and most of all... a great thread on how to search. Thanks for all the inspiration this year guys!

How could anyone forget Titanpat57 ? He may have really awful gas all the time, but what a genuinely nice guy. I love 'em, along with a lot of awesome guys I've met on here (insert random gay jokes here, IDGAF...).

T4R.ORG>all!

Merry Xmas fellas!

Sorry. How can I forget Titanpat57? He is my brother from a different mother lol!

Canazes9 making sure boots don't rub

Very true, thanks again! :)

And thanks Greg for setting us straight with the FACTS. It takes a lot of time to type things up, but to also explain it in a simple manner for us, we appreciate it!

Merry Christmas, Happy Hanukkah, Happy Festivus with the Festivus Pole, whatever you celebrate, have a good one!

Thank you for this thread Greg :)
It's great to see that many people out there still have the Christmas spirit.

This is my favorite time of the year, a time to praise the Lord (no offense to anyone) and to spend time with family and friends.

I am super thankful for my wife, and my hilarious little boy. Thankful that I will be a father of 2 soon!!!! We don't know the sex yet, hopefully int the next few weeks. It's easy to forget the blessings that we have, I try to always take a minute to really appreciate everything that God has given to me.

I can't say enough about this forum. I can literally spend hours and hours just going through threads. I have still yet to go through all the build threads, which are full of ideas and ways to bankrupt my account lol.

I have learned a ton from the 5th Gen guys and other members. If anyone here hasn't visited the off topic section, please do Off Topic - Toyota 4Runner Forum - Largest 4Runner Forum
I have learned about watches, guns, working out and seen some funny pictures. It is really an all in one type of a forum!

The folks on here are some really knowledgeable, down to earth and are always willing to help (thankful for that). Many including Okki and SOcalTRAIL are great contributors to some great Ideas. Paul and Steven cacarbuff are great guys and are always willing to go the extra mile to help.

I would not have had the chance to explore California the way I have been if it wasn't for the SOCAL T4R owners like Dlak ElGringoLoco Broker and couple of others that I'm forgetting. Thanks for setting up and leading some great runs guys.

That's all the cheese I have :D

Cheers guys - I hope you can all enjoy a great XMAS & NEW YEARS!

If you are a scotch drinker, get your self a bottle of Laguvilen and enjoy a few drinks!

Thanks Danny!.. Don't get your presents stolen this year! :target:

Vrolijk Kerstfeest en een gelukkig nieuw jaar! :clap2:

Thanks to everyone who either helped out, supported, made fun, hung out and generally assisted in my truck getting cooler and this place getting better!

I got rid of my 2010 limited over a year ago and I still come here daily, good bunch of people with great ideas here. Merry Christmas and happy new year to you all.

Happy Holidays Fellow TR4 owners and thanks for the great reads and Pictures to enjoy.

I am extremely jealous of many of your MODS and will hopefully live up to your level as I do my MODS.
