A Bad Day For "JAYBEE'S TOY"

So I'm on my home from work, usual route, good weather, etc. And some jerkoff decides
to make a left turn across 2 lanes of traffic blindly. I have about 2 truck lengths to try and
stop, but "NO", clipped the '93 Plymouth Voyager right across the front end with my
drivers side bumper. I am pissed!!!!
I'm guessing that it will be at least $6k to fix it.

I hope so...those 2 indicator lights being stuck "on" worry me though.
And, I had to turn the steering wheel almost 60degrees to the left in order to go straight.:mmph:

1st reports from Body/Frame shop were that the frame is ok...may be damage to upper/lower control arms though. They will be replacing both as a matter of course.

The other driver's insurance will be hearing from my carrier. I did not want to f**k around running the claim through the other guys first. My carrier has assured me they will be looking for a settlement to include my deductible as well.

Mine got hit yesterday on the highway by a large retread flying off a tractor trailer - $1300 for me... So not near as bad, but I certainly feel your pain!!

Good, but be sure you're actually made whole: include a claim for the loss of resale value due to your vehicle now having a crash on its record.

As having some experience with a similar collision, I would bet the control arms and other components took a lot of the impact.

Yeah, I was about 75 feet behind him starting to pass when it flew right off his tire right into the front of my 4R. Not even a chance to dodge it.

I stopped cause it hit so hard I figured it was in the radiator, he kept right on "trucking"... Bastard.

I'm fine, and glad you are as well! Could have been worse for us both!

I'd really like to just go ahead and do the trail conversion (LTD here) but just cant spend the extra $$ right now. Bad timing.

Find out if they are reporting the damage to Carfax. The value will go down dramatically if they do so make sure your compensated accordingly
