This is the only other problem I've found on my '87. The PO told me I needed to recharge the A/C system with R12 and it'd be good to go. Bought R12 on Amazon and went to work.
The system held pressure but I could hear some hissing. A/C finally blew cold, but wasn't freezing like I was expecting. Then saw some splatter on the battery and let it rest for the night.
The next morning fluid was below the Compressor and it was blowing hot again. Looks like a seal leak in the front of the Compressor? See the splatter on the battery.
Is this an easy fix or do I have to spend $200-300 on a new one? Or I just live without A/C for a while longer...
