Folks, folks, folks.

Look, it's a simple designation. The gear defines the mission.

If you want to throw the kids and dog in the 4Runner with a tent, some sleeping bags, bug spray, fishing poles, and a cooler of food and go four-wheeling until you need to stop and camp for the night that's called being a loser and nobody wants to see your smiling faces in your Facebook photos.

If you want to tune up your Tepui RTT, put some microbrews in your ARB fridge, spool up some fresh synthetic winch line, and go four-wheeling until you need to stop and camp for the night just over the ridge from the stupid family with the kids that's called an OVERLANDING EXPEDITION and you'll get a bunch of Instagram likes when you post your HDR photos of your rock lights glowing under your rig next to your campfire.

Wow, I missed most of the fun on this thread while I was overlanding to and from SeaWorld. We did camp at the Marriott renaissance and had to hike across the parking lot to the park. FWIW we did drive "off-road" exploring the Everglades on the way home. I can't wait to update my epic build and adventure thread with more details once my suburban south Florida home gets better internet connection.

I love that I'm always learning something new on this forum.

Just for reference, does my Frontrunner rack cancel out my stock dunlops?

ROFL! I carry a gun for a living and work with a few guys (and gals) like that. Seriously, thanks for posting that I will be printing that out for the break room.

LoL X's ____ (pick a number) I do as well, and there's such an abundance of Call of Duty veterans at work. All with the latest and most expensive gear so they can look like King Arthur in the passenger seat next to the guy wearing what's actually needed for the mission. I especially love the mandatory poses whenever we stop at Denny's or Starbucks (you know, between "work").
