I think you should consider the Cloth seats... these are NOT ****ty cloth, they are pretty nice. IMO Cloth is MUCH more comfortable than leather for ALL 4 seasons. If it was not graphite (black) interior, I would say go leather because of stains etc. Leather turns to **** after awhile.

not to start a war, but, i had cloth seats in my xterra. It was fine, after i ripped the passenger side seat in half, i just put on seat covers. I would do the same thing if i tear up my leather seats.

Last question, and this one's a big one. The 4Runner i want is Silver with Black leather interior and the 2 that were available got sold this weekend. My local dealer has one with cloth and said they could send it back to port to get the leather installed. I would have to pay 400 bucks for the transport. I really want the leather. Should I do this?

My dealer offered to do this because we couldn't find a Salsa Red Pearl, with leather and 3rd row and the other things I wanted on it, in our region. He had a guy who could do it locally for about $2k (including installing heaters), which is less than the upgrade to the Leather Package. I was told that they use "Avalon/Camry" grade leather, which is supposed to be slightly better than 4Runner leather, but who knows.

However, once I got the truck with the Sport Fabric, the wife really liked the look and feel of it, so we decided to keep it. Like some others said in the last couple of posts - this isn't some cheap crappy fabric...it's nice and comfortable (and no heaters required with cloth, and doesn't get too hot in the summer). Just be sure to protect the cloth from stains.

And we can always do the aftermarket swap-out later.

Thanks everyone. I appreciate the advice. I don't dislike the cloth. I surf 10 months out of the year. I feel like it is a lot easier to keep the leather seats clean and hold up better with a wet bathing suite. My current SR5 has leather.

yeah at $33,500 does look pretty good. Of course it would help to see and hear all the features.

I was confused too. I think the A-Trac is similar to a locking differential. There is a good chance I am wrong.

Here's another question. In the glove box there is an elastic strap on the top. Is this for storing an ipod?
