thanks yo! I have to hand it all to the dumbass who was texting leaving my parents neighborhood a few weeks ago. As he was taking up the entire road I had to thread a needle between him and a mail box...
The mailbox got clipped a couple times down the passenger side of my truck so I filed it through insurance.. They decided it was 2700 worth of damage.. I decided it was 2700 bucks worth of upgrades to everything else! haha

I was a little disappointed myself that I couldn't make it happen this go around. I have a few other priorities to attend to with the truck before I'm ready for 35's (which is the only size of the rockers I'm close to being able to fit). So my best option was to hang tight with my setup and push forward with the other little odds an ends that need attention first.
I won't let you down next time :thumb3:

yep, they only offer a 315/75 or larger for a 16 inch rim If I had all my ducks in a row I would've gotten those. I'm geared for 35's and all my drive line is built to handle 35's just don't quite have the clearance up front yet. I'll be working on that and additional armor this year so next time a tire purchase comes around I'll have some 35's :whoo:

detailers nightmare? I've never touched mine with a scrub brush.. I use a product called purple power can be purchased in 5 gallon jugs at walmart minimally inexpensive. spray it on the tire and rim letting it soak a bit(you'll actually see the grime just run off), then take a pressure washer to the tires and wheels. You'll never pick up a scrub brush again.
If you like the tire shine stuff (i dont really waste my time with it because well if I actually do take the time to clean the truck its like a bad omen that soon the truck will be in mud) but the best way to apply it on tires like these is with a soft like really soft scrub brush, soak the brush in the tire shine and then just wipe it on. The bushes will get in every nook an cranny with ease.
an yeah the MTZ's get a little louder with age but when there brand new, oh man heaven on a mud tire for sure. Zero road noise quiet as can be.

similar to what i do. I use an all purpose cleaner of choice, foam in on the tire, let it work then agitate it with a hard bristle brush. I have my "Natural Shine" tire dressing i use pre mixed 50:50 so i spray it on, wipe off excess. Leaves a nice new look.
I hate shiny/slippery looking tires. I cant go crazy with the APC because my methods are sealed and will have to keep sealing them if i went nuts.

yeah the purple power cleaner I mentioned would probably eat away at your sealant, I have basic black powder coated wheels so i don't really have to worry about being harsh on them, if the paint chips just rattle can them lol. However they don't look as bad ass as your methods. I used to agitate the cleaner with a hard bristle brush but after discovering the magic of a pressure washer I'll never scrub a tire again lol it just blasts away all the grime in one quick swipe across the tire.
I'd like to get a nice set of rims for road tires for long trips an the methods have certainly caught my attention.

I was impressed with how much lighter they feel over OEM wheels. I had MTZs on my last vehicle. They were 36x15.5 and they never made the noise these ones do. Could be because how worn they are.

I'd definitely say it's due to their wear state. New ones up to about half life do not make hardly any noise at all.

Hey, if it aint broke... Nothing better than seeing a brand new set of rubber mounted up.
fftopic:Lighter than your SR5 wheels? I was under the impression the methods were up around 28lbs. I only know this b/c I was being OCD when researching my future tire/wheel combo and, yes, weight was a factor. Of course I had to squeeze out every extra 1/10th MPG I could with my common-sense choice of MT tires for a DD.

they feel a LOT lighter. im not sure down to a scale but acceleration also seems a little more pep.

Got my new front hub bearings, inner, and outer seals installed Saturday. Got up early sunday to meet [MENTION=68704]superman3043[/MENTION] out at Uhwarrie for a full, fun, awesome day wheeling!

who says you can't use a high lift jack on the CBI bumper cut outs? PD's Ball joint nut came loose on the trail so we had to pull off, adjust it back and tighten it. after we got off the trail and back to the near by gas station we found mine had done the same thing lol. got it fixed.. still unsure how they came loose we both man handled a breaker bar wrench to tighten them during install. BTW that's my beer not PD's lol
