a month into daystar lift

Something is not right with yor setup.
Pass by and we'll take a look at it. I've been through several lift kits and have a few trucks built.
P.S. I do not claim my V6 has 300hp. It has 1GR-FE engine with full streight exhaust, hi-flow cats in customized intake. 1GR-FE is rated at 256hp, all additions will ease up another 15-20hp (never counted, just estimate) which brings ~270-275hp on the engine, not on the wheels. I used to have a chip which should of gave me additional 40hp, but it was FJCruiser mapping and did not work well on 4Runner, so it's back to stock "brain".

Alexjet, wrong person bro! Sorry. Some other dude on here claims to have 300 whp on an n/a v6. You know your stuff, the other dude doesn't.

Maybe go to a Toyota Dealer have them check for a faulty installation and if the spring cups are upside down and your xreas wasnt reconnected then I would go back to the original shop with the paperwork from Toyota and ask them to fix their poor installation aswell as reimburse you for the Toyota inpsection. Something along those lines anyways because it sounds like not only did they completely take you to the cleaners on the install but they also screwed it up.

Yup...But all those BS threads saying how daystar doesn't change the ride quality, etc, are all just that - BS.
One thing I like is how steering got stiffer....but I guess it's because of wheel spacers.

Overall I've been very happy with the install. I did not install wheel spacers and the only other change to my suspension has been upgraded sway bar and end link bushings.

Like someone else pointed out, it sounds like a botched install, i.e., a disconnected XREAS system. Have your shocks failed? Any leaking fluid from the XREAS lines or shocks themselves?

I was around when then were doing the install...Granted I wasn't there all the time, but I popped in a few times to check out the progress....it all look fine in the front, but I didn't get to see the back installed. I was very clear with my mechanic on how to handle XREAS and hydraulic lines.
I can't say 100% they did a proper job
I checked Xreas lines...no leaks and shocks seam ok.

I'm out for the weekend, so I won't touch the truck till Monday. Then I'll get some pics and perhaps a video and post them here. Hopefully we can make sense of this crap next week.

I am surprised with the way your truck is handling. I have had my Daystar 2.5/1.5 on for over a year now and my experience is the same as what UteRunner was describing. Mind you I don't push the handling boundaries when I am driving, but I found that my suspension stiffened a bit, which I really like. It seems to corner a little flatter around on ramps and has less brake dive when I hit the brakes. Even my thump when I release the brakes after a hard stop is almost gone. Overall it feels slightly more stable than before, which was a pleasant surprise as I thought I was going to lose some being higher. Once my shocks go I might consider getting the Bilstein setup as a replacement for the XREAS, but for now I am still happy with it. I hope you can get it resolved without spending much more $$$. Yep, you got screwed, once on the install price and then when they ruined your X-REAS system. I've had the DS kit installed for 5 years with absolutely no issues and it rides great. I am going to tweak it a little before summer by adding FJ springs but overall I am very satisfied with it for my usage.
