A possible solution to leaking axle seals

Reasons aside, repacking a washed out bearing, of unknown condition, seems sketchy.
If you are OK with the risk of replacing the bearing in a relatively short period, then another approach is replacing the bearing now, with a cheaper non-Toyota bearing. Some of them are down around $10. I've used a Beck-Arnley one that is going on 10 years.

Thanks for the idea WayneM. It's not a solid diagnostic method, but I did try moving the wheel while it was up on the jack and there was hardly any 'wobble' unlike those examples I've seen on YT where bearings were needing replacement, so hopeful I can get a little more out of them. I was hoping to avoid replacing the bearings all together since the cost of either having a shop pull/press them or buying the tools to do it myself could be saved, but idea to keep in the bank if it comes to it!

LOL, for some reason while I had the truck up I didn't think to check the other side sensor - but thanks for the clarification. I'll order a couple seals just in case it is leaking I'll be able to replace both seals at the same time.

Order an extra.

FSM bearing specs are tight .7 & .1 mm further you're away worse you are, .5+ mm either number is borrowed time.
