I think it was just a T capped off on the bottom. It was all i had to use for a coupler. No reason to have a T there.

OK I'm looking to purchase one for my 2015 but had a few questions and advice making a choice.

1. Is there one made specifically for our gen 4Runner? Or would I have to go for a universal option? I don't have the resources/tools to manufacture any brackets or things like that like others have done. I searched and didn't really find anything specific for our gen.

2. Did you have to cut existing hoses or is it simply plug and play? I was looking at some install vids and showed cutting existing hoses. Though vid was for a Tacoma.

3. I know I want one that is baffled, anything else to look for?

4. What other brands to look into? Other than the ones mentioned here.

Also looking for simple maintenance.

Looking for good quality but there are a lot of options from $50 to $350. Willing to spend some money on quality in between that range as I see it as a good investment in the long run as I don't plan on selling anytime soon.
