I was on a FB Group for 4Runners in AZ to help research where I wanted to move to. Some good people on there. But yes, I deactivated my FB account a long time ago. Best thing ever.

Whenever I take the 4Runner into town, I see people drive by and nod in approval. So that still feels good since I've barely driven it for several years. There are a lot of 4Runners around here. I would like to find a local group, but I won't get back on FB to achieve that.

Social media in general is a love/hate relationship for me. I like that I can reach a lot of people through social media, but I seriously despise the censorship that goes on. Social Media is HEAVILY slanted to one political ideology and I happen to lean towards the one that is censored. If I didn't benefit from social media to be able to get my DIY videos out to more people, I'd most likely abandon it as well. We are losing our freedom of speech because these social media platforms possess way too much power. The mainstream media is bought and paid for too and it's more like a propaganda machine rather than an institution we can rely on for accurate information. The United States is becoming a banana republic.

Amen to everything you said. Plus you can't easily search for old info like you can on forums. Overall I find SM to be an awful way to share/find information.

Amen to everything you said! Part of me wants to stay informed, but a larger part is wanting to just fade away and live in a cave somewhere.
