AC Blower does not fit....

I ordered a replacement AC blower for the SUV and it dose not quite fit.
I saw some post here about this but never saw how they got the blower to fit?
The problem is the rounded extension arm coming off of the main lower blower housing of the blower casing. Something is striking the female housing and preventing the blower from sitting flush. I just can't see what part is hanging up but did read here that one or two members figured it out but never posted how to do it?

Have you cross referenced the pn? Take some side by side pictures? Hard to tell without seeing it. Just did mine recently and it does go in rather smoothly.
