AC compressor dead

I love my 4th generation and have had it for six years but the wife and daughter wanted something new and we bought a 5th gen last week. I was going to try to sell the 4th gen because I would never recoup any of the thousands of $ I put in for mods and stereo equipment on a trade . I noticed it wasn’t blowing frigid air so I brought it to local shop to get AC charged and they told me compressor was done and they would replace it for $900. My question is: should I replace the compressor before I sell it or should I try to sell it as is letting buyer know issue and cost to fix. I doubt I will recoup the whole cost of the fix in the sale price. Looking for opinions. Thanks. By the way I have already done a search if any of those do a search guys are out there.

I agree with Bumbo. There are plenty of people willing to purchase a 4th gen (at the right price) without the A/C working. Most might try and do it themselves too instead of having a mechanic do it.
I’d sell it as is and inform the buyer of the issue
