Access to Water Pump

I need to examine the WP and timing belt to see their condition. My questions are:

1. Will removing plastic cowling be sufficient to determing if WP is leaking?

2. Looks like removing upper radiator hose necessary to remove cowling.

3. Anything else necessary to remove to view WP and belt?

This might help you see what is behind what. You don't need to do all these steps but it gives you a better idea before you start unbolting stuff.
