I realize I'm probably the only person ever that needs this, but I offer this great counter point; there was a perfect spot for it, bro.
My phone is mounted just to the right of the steering wheel below the 4wd selector switch. I normally charge it from the outlet in the center console. But I wanted something a bit cleaner.
Got an add a fuse and USB charger from Amazon. It's the square shape version from newer Toyotas. On the right side of the lower dash trim piece, there's a space that's perfect for it. I just cut it out by tracing the little box on the back with a razor, but I had to cut more off the bottom to fit the clips.
Added the fuse to the cig outlet fuse and grounded it on the bolt just to the left of the steering wheel.
And... it checks good. Also I've noticed about a 1/16th of an inch of suspension lift as well. So that's a plus.
I get, not a lot of us are this OCD, but I was bored.
