My stock tires were worn so I took this opportunity to upgrade the wheels and tires. After some researching I settled on 285/65/18. I used this thread http://www.toyota-4runner.org/5th-gen-t4rs/156378-going-bigger-5th-gen-tire-fitment-guide.html as a reference on which sizes would fit. It was spot on, I had to remove the mud flaps and it rubs on the liner slightly, so I will need to trim that just a tad this week. I decided to go with BF Goodrich All-Terrain KO2 based on all the reviews I've read. The KO2 have slightly more road noise and ride a bit rougher than the stock all-seasons, but that was expected. American Tire Depot is having a buy 3 get 1 free deal so I got on that deal.
As for the wheels I went with Ambit RS02. They were the perfect fitment for the 4Runner, I love the style of the wheel. I wanted bronze, but those are all out of stock. Plus the pricing was killer, I picked up the set for $500 out the door. I bought them from Ambit directly and they were very responsive in answering questions. If anyone wants a set, hit up Ray @ Ambit - 626-537-9861 and he will set you up. Those in LA can save on tax and shipping if you pay cash and pick up at their warehouse.
