It's actually a really simple procedure to remove that panel. Allow yourself an hour to disassemble and an hour to reassemble. It will be about an hour too much time allowance, but that way you'll be safe -Frank-

Hmmm, thanks. My friend, who owns a car audio place, says that if I do the leg-work in taking the panels out, it will save his guys doing it @ about $55/hr. Then he said he would hook up an under-the-front seat mini-woofer/amp.Mr Castulucci said:I put that guide together

The only thing he said might be an issue with this very proprietary digital JBL system (10 speaker) is finding a way to automatically power the amp on & off. He said this JBL is very picky about such things, as he knows one of the ex-JBL engineers who designed it.

That shouldn't be too much of a problem. Couldn't the aftermarket amp's power-on wire (there is probably a more-precise name for this, but it escapes me at the moment...) be connected to the vehicle's ACC wire? This should power the amp on whenever the radio is turned on.
Someone correct me if I am wrong!

If the guys at circuit city figured it out on my truck, it shouldn't be an issue for your guy. CC did take about 7 hours on my truck when normally it should take 2-3hours. I had my subs/amp installed last year and they said they hadn't done one in my particular vehicle with JBL yet. They actually had to call up JBL and get the schematics to make it work.

BUT
If you use the wire that powers the JBL amp on when the key turns it works due to the fact that wire is shielded to keep out the interfirence. Its a gray wire in clip 'A'
This works, bolieve me, you will love it.
