Hmmm, thanks. My friend, who owns a car audio place, says that if I do the leg-work in taking the panels out, it will save his guys doing it @ about $55/hr. Then he said he would hook up an under-the-front seat mini-woofer/amp.Mr Castulucci said:I put that guide togetherIt's actually a really simple procedure to remove that panel. Allow yourself an hour to disassemble and an hour to reassemble. It will be about an hour too much time allowance, but that way you'll be safe

TeryT said:The only thing he said might be an issue with this very proprietary digital JBL system (10 speaker) is finding a way to automatically power the amp on & off. He said this JBL is very picky about such things, as he knows one of the ex-JBL engineers who designed it.
Mr Castulucci said:That shouldn't be too much of a problem. Couldn't the aftermarket amp's power-on wire (there is probably a more-precise name for this, but it escapes me at the moment...) be connected to the vehicle's ACC wire? This should power the amp on whenever the radio is turned on.
Someone correct me if I am wrong!
