Adventure Motors 5th Gen Trail Build Thread

Hey, what's up T4R friends!
I've been around here since I think 2006 and recently made a profile for my company I started a few years ago. (Adventure Motors)

I just sold my wife's 4th gen and I am starting to crack into her new 5th gen this week and thought I should do a build thread...

We had it for just under a year and early last month I got this 5th gen trail edition in my inventory.... I just couldn't help myself.

Anyways... It was a one owner, toyota maintained rig that was completely stock.
To start out I replaced wheel bearings and did a semi major service to have a good clean slate.
Then I went with ICON extended's in the front with SPC upper control arms, RC 2.0 coils in the rear with ICON shocks, and some airbags (we tow overland trailers all the time for our company, so kind of a must for it.)

The tires on it were shot so I put a set of fuel wheels and 275/70-18 KO2's.

It's been fun finally having a 5th gen in the family. There are quite a few things we miss about the 4th gen, but overall we're definitely happy.

This week it starts to go under the knife at my shop as we're getting it ready for Overland West next year...

Price, size, peppiness from the lighter weight, turning radius.

Other than that we love finally owning a 5th gen.

Well I got some wiring and lights done today.
Did some backup lights and a hidden light bar in the front. Just need to replace the grill now.
Also installed a console vault, and love it!

I've got a huge pallet showing up from RCI tomorrow so more fun to come!

Well, a large portion of the goodies showed up today...

All I got a chance to do was prime out the skids and install the second set of rear lights..

Hopefully tomorrow I can finish up the armor and get them bolted up.

Nice. Any photos of how you installed the rear lights on the roof rack?

Looks like we did similar work this past weekend! I installed the same BlueSea fuse box and a relay for my back-up lights. Ignore the zipped tied wiring, that will get cleaned up soon. Still have to run my 8 gauge wire for my cig adapter dedicated to my ARB fridge, and install my rock lights! :naughty:
