It doesn't really matter which OS you have on your phone as long as it supports bluetooth. I have tried with Android and no problem. I don't use anything like iHeartRadio so those options to me aren't important.

In the past I have gone with Kenwood and this product does not disappoint. That being said it's like a favorite color, everyone has their own. With regards to the install of the antennas, I found out today that apparently I can use the Power Antenna wire to get the AM. Fact or fiction I do not know but something I will look into and see.

Checking the various sites, how do you figure out what install kit you need to install this in the 4Runner? Do you use an Android phone, and if so, are you happy with this unit? Do you think this is a better value that the T1819 radio? Thanks!

I use an iPhone. As for the mounting kit, I purchased this from a local audio store, and gave them my vehicle info, and they told me which kit. I am happy with the unit. Especially the mic and Bluetooth. Austin just put I phone laws, prohibiting even talking on your phone while driving, unless you use hands free.

Ok, so given that the T1819 Scion radio and the Pioneer FH-X720BT can be had for about the same money, is there any reason not to get the Pioneer, at this price point? Thanks for all of the help!

So, I decided to go with the PT546-00130/T10004 which I believe to be the same as the T1819. Ordered the cables, etc. By the way, thanks for the earlier suggestion of Staples for the Metra adapter cables. All of $7.00 for both.
One final question, is there any reason to get the satellite radio, given Pandora, iHeart, etc? And if, so what exactly do you need to make it work? I've looked around Ebay and it's kind of confusing. Do you need a tuner in addition to the "fit kit"? Any thoughts are appreciated. Thanks for the assistance!

I have a t1819 lying around, if you haven't bought one yet. I was gonna install it but after researching all the cables to make it work. It came out to be the same price as getting an aftermarket so I went with an aftermarket.

Sat radio, as in xm and sirius? I never use those, I just bluetooth my phone and spotify, panadora, or run music stored in my phone.

I always had good luck with JVC headunits. KW-V50BT is what I have installed right now. JVCs usually a little cheaper and more loaded with features compare to other brands including Pioneer, Kenwood or Alpine. Very good crossover section and EQ if you can't live without manual tweaking.
